One way to showoff a new product is to prove its capabilities. After all, in the racing world the proof is always in the performance and Honeywell Garrett teamed with Moran Racing Engines to do so. Last week they revealed its new GTX5544R Gen II turbocharger with a 102mm or 106mm impeller inducer and each size uses a massive 144mm exducer. Just one of those turbochargers is capable of producing upwards of 2,850hp.
Since one turbo is good, then two is certainly better! Moran Racing Engines took one a customer’s brand-new 670ci billet Hemi engine and strapped on two of those turbochargers. The result? How about 5,925hp with 70 psi of boost.
