Chris Rini Debuts New Camaro Pro Mod Machine

There’s a new Pro Mod on the block, as Pro Nitrous racer Chris Rini is ready to run in his new, 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. Born at Jerry Bickel Race Cars, the 112-inch-wheelbase car features the requisite double-frame-rail chassis in an incredibly lightweight package thanks to tons of titanium. Staying true to his power adder of choice, Rini will run a hefty dose of nitrous oxide from Switzer Dynamics through his 959ci engine from Charlie Buck. Brandon Switzer himself will tune the car using MoTeC fuel injection, and Rini’s longtime sponsor, ATI Performance Products, supplied a lock-up Turbo 400 transmission. It is expected that Rini will put the first-ever runs on his latest Pro Mod in mid-August before continuing around the country to compete at other big-tire doorslammer events.
