EFI University is a high-performance educational company that offers nine different courses covering everything from EFI tuning basics to motorsport wiring and configuration and it offers courses all across the country. For those active on social media you might have seen videos produced by Ben Shrader of EFI University discussing EFI tuning or possibly his in-depth technical rundowns of his 8-second naturally aspirated LS—complete with cathedral port heads. We enjoyed his daily updates from this year’s Hot Rod Drag Week competition where he did a rundown of Holley EFI tips from each day but his latest video grabbed our attention quickly.
Frankenstein Engine Dynamics and EFI University announced a sponsorship program that gives away 4 scholarships to EFI University’s Competition Engine Development course, valued at $2,995 each! Mike Shabarek, marketing director at Frankenstein Engine Dynamics, explains in the video below that those interested in competing for the scholarships will have to create a selfie video that is 1-minute or less, post it to Instagram and Facebook and tag both Frankenstein Engine Dynamics and EFI University. As Shabarek said in the video, they are putting their money where their mouth is when it comes to helping develop engine builders and help grow the youth segment in the high-performance industry.
The Competition Engine Development program is a 3-day course where instructors teach three areas of efficiency (Volumetric, Mechanical, Thermal) and the proper methods for checking, measuring, and inspecting during the engine assembly process. There is also a lot of attention placed on pre-build planning and strategy. The course concludes with the students attaching the LS engine on EFI University’s Mainline-Dynolog engine dyno for break-in and EFI tuning basic lessons.
If that kind of course interests you, grab your cell phone and make a video today for a chance to earn a scholarship courtesy of Frankenstein Engine Dynamics or just slide your credit card out of your wallet and fill out the application to EFI University.
