Masters of Motors Rules Announced!


JE Pistons announces the official rules for the 2020 AMSOIL Masters of Motors competition. Masters of Motors is set to take place at JE Pistons’ Mentor, Ohio headquarters September 28th through October 1st, 2020 and all applications are required to be submitted by April 1st, 2020. The official competitor list will be announced on April 10th.

In addition to the rules, JE Pistons is excited to announce the current event purse stands at a whopping $72,500 thanks to support from other industry friends such as AMSOIL, Holley, ARP, and ATI Performance, and the goal is to continue to grow it.

  • 1st Place: $30,750
  • 2nd Place: $3,500
  • 3rd Place: $1,000

The following are classes and rules designed to open the competition up to more builders than ever before, substantially reduce engine build costs, and provide for an exciting, intense, and innovative competition with a huge potential payoff.

ARP Early Iron Class

The ARP Early Iron class is designed for vintage engine enthusiasts and encourages innovation, ingenuity, and reinvigorate power into the iconic engine platforms that launched hot rodding.

Holley Performance Everyman’s LS Class

With the goal of encouraging innovation without breaking the bank, the Holley Performance Everyman’s LS class will be heavily focused on inspiring builders to push the factory LS architecture into the stratosphere.

Registration Officially open

To apply for 2020 AMSOIL Masters of Motors presented by JE Pistons click below. Due to limited dyno capacity only a select number of competitors will be chosen for for competition and registration will close on April 1st. Selected competitors will be announced on April 10th.

ATI Performance Becomes Award Ceremony Sponsor

ATI Performance Products is the newest Masters of Motors banquet sponsor, and will also be offering an additional $500 to both class winners if their engines are equipped with ATI dampers.
