MSD Releases Redesigned Atomic 2 System

MSD has released the Atomic 2 system, a ground-up redesign that utilizes an 865cfm throttle body with an integrated ECU, a full-color touch screen, a simple four-wire hookup and new features.

It features four, 100lb/hr fuel injectors capable of supporting up to 650 horsepower naturally aspirated or 635 horsepower on forced induction applications. The Atomic 2 ECU is capable of fuel map self-learning and ignition timing control, improving idle stability, drivability and wide-open throttle horsepower. It’s designed to fit an 4150 intake manifold, with ample clearance for factory air cleaners.

The Atomic 2 provides the performance and drivability benefits that users expect from fuel injection, including quick starts, smooth idle and great throttle response. The Atomic 2 also will support ignition timing through the ECU. Initial timing is handled through a compact handheld monitor where users simply answer a few car guy questions about their engine.
