Thanks to Powermaster’s new Small Frame HPR Alternators, you can run your air conditioning, electric fans and fuel pump, headlights and more without worrying if your battery is charging! With over 145 amps at idle and 175+ amps at top end, these new alternators will keep everything charged!
Think about where does your engine runs the majority of the time—at idle and low rpm! Sitting at stop lights, cruising the fairgrounds and driving in traffic. This is where you need serious charging capabilities and the new HPR Small Frame alternators deliver!
The alternators are based on Powermaster’s high output HPR Series developed for late model applications. Their engineers were able to incorporate the efficient charging technology of the larger, late model line into popular small frame housings that are used in hot rods and muscle cars (such as the 10SI, 12si, CS130 and AD230). They will also bolt into many aftermarket front accessory drive systems.
The Small Frame HPRs produce a solid 160+ amps at cruising speeds, plenty to keep all of your electronics working and the battery charged. This highly efficient technology consumes less engine power while creating higher current across the entire rpm range.
Each new Small Frame HPR Alternator is designed as a direct replacement for three popular housings; the straight 6.61” mount (shown), an offset left 5.31-inch mount and a 2-inch spool mount. Each alternator features a one-wire connection, and is available with a V-belt or serpentine pulley. Finishes include natural, polished and a durable black, and each new small frame HPR alternator is designed, built, and dyno tested in the USA.
