Watson Racing Presents the Ford Performance Cobra Jet Showdown at the NMRA Spring Break Shootout

The Ford Mustang Cobra Jet is the most powerful vehicle Ford has ever produced and it scorches the blacktop with 8-second times right off the showroom floor. As racers continually push these factory hot rods to the brink of the 7s, the NMRA Ford Nationals is proud to host a specialty category for Vintage and Modern Cobra Jets. The Ford Performance Cobra Jet Showdown presented by Watson Racing goes down February 28 – March 3, 2019 during the Nitto Tire NMRA Spring Break Shootout at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Bradenton, Florida.

For the past eight years dozens of Cobra Jet racers have descended upon Bradenton Motorsports Park to get tuned up for the NMCA and NHRA competitions in the weeks following the massive all-Ford national event. This year racing officials have opened up the competition to all Cobra Jets, vintage or modern, and use a unique index system to keep the competition fair and fun.

The Ford Performance Cobra Jet Showdown, presented by Watson Racing, celebrates in the Aerospace Components Winner’s Circle at the conclusion of the race.

Steve Wolcott, Founder and CEO of ProMedia Events & Publishing, parent company of the NMRA Ford Nationals, shared his enthusiasm for these cars. “Last year, we hosted the official Ford party to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Cobra Jet during an NMCA race. Our appreciation and love for these cars runs deep through the NMRA organization and we enjoy hosting these dynamic cars and the awesome owners and drivers who compete with them.”

Some of the most compelling Cobra Jets will be in competition during the Nitto Tire NMRA Spring Break Shootout. Advance Tickets are on-sale now and Spectators save 20% when buying online <HERE> and visit www.NMRAdigital.com/FL for more information.
